Embodied Healing

with Eliza Jane, RYT-500 TCTSY-F

Embodied Healing (TCTSY) is an evidence-based, adjunctive treatment for trauma. These sessions utilize trauma theory and the non-spiritual elements of yoga to restore mind-body connections after trauma.

These sessions are not about fitting your body into a certain shape or becoming stronger, more flexible or more spiritual. Instead, we explore breath, movement, & present moment awareness as opportunities to let go of the shoulds; moving with compassion, freedom and agency.

FAQs

You May be Wondering...

01

What's Embodied Healing?

Embodied Healing (TCTSY) is an evidence-based, adjunctive treatment for trauma. These sessions utilize trauma theory and the non-spiritual elements of yoga to restore mind-body connections after trauma.

Sessions focus on breath, movement, present moment awareness & choice making as opportunities to restore mind-body connections & reclaim your sense of self.

02

Who is Embodied Healing For?

All who wish to feel more safe, present or connected to their body are welcome. This includes those who are processing trauma, chronic illness, grief, a gender transition or their sexual identity.

Truly House is a trauma conscious & body positive space. All are welcome here.

Note: Having a mental health practitioner in place as you explore Embodied Healing is strongly encouraged.

03

How is Embodied Healing different from traditional yoga?

Embodied Healing (TCTSY) is not about fitting your body into a certain shape or "doing it right." There is no goal to become stronger, more flexible or more spiritual.

Instead, Embodied Healing holds space for you to let go of all the "shoulds" and compassionately listen to your body-make choices based on how you feel.

These small, but intentional choices are central to overcoming trauma, which often occurs without choice and in the absence of a compassionate witness.

04

What are Your Rates?

Embodied Healing is offered at the rate of $150 per session. A Diversity Rate of $120 is available as a 2nd option to those who are either: living outside the US or living in the margins including LGBTQIA+, BIPOC, people with disabilities & single mothers.

For those wishing to see a reduction in trauma symptoms, 10 weekly sessions are recommended with maintenance sessions as desired.

Embodied Spiritual Direction is offered at the same rate mentioned above and on a monthly basis.
